The Porsche 911 has been providing driving thrills for over 50 years and has an enthusiastic following around the world. The 911’s heritage is clear to see in the 996 model from 2001, which shares the incredible driving experience of previous models in a revolutionary body design. To counter claims that the standard 996 model was not hard core enough, Porsche released the Carrera 4S model which shares the brakes, suspension and wide body of the more extreme Turbo model.

Purchased originally from Stratstone Of Wilmslow Porsche, this car has been fastidiously serviced throughout its lifetime. Serviced at a main Porsche dealer up to 63,000 miles and yearly serviced at a Porsche specialist ever since, attention has been lavished on this car. The car has the desirable manual gearbox and is in near concours condition, inside and out.

The Arctic Silver paintwork on this car is in excellent condition. All lights and badges are in good condition with no fading on the headlights, a common fault on the 996. The wide body and low stance of the C4S make it stand out as a highlight of the 996 range. With a naturally aspirated engine and manual gearbox, this C4S is a hugely engaging car to drive and provides immense cornering grip with its wider rear set up and 4 wheel drive.

The black leather interior is in excellent condition and looks great from the driver’s seat. The seat material is unscathed and show no signs of wear. All controls including the buttons, gear lever and steering wheel are in good condition, as are the carpets and trim.

Having been driven responsibly and maintained correctly, this Porsche 996 C4S drives like only a Porsche of the period can. The gearbox feedback is well weighted, the steering is communicative and the suspension keeps the car incredibly flat and stable on even the tightest of bends. The engine itself pulls well throughout the rev range and has a raw mechanical feel, which combined with the manual gearbox and sporty suspension makes you feel like a driver again, something sadly missing on many modern supercars.

The car has factory fitted Porsche Turbo ‘twist’ 18” alloys, which come with the optional Porsche emblem badges. The alloy wheels and badges are in excellent condition at each corner. All the tyres were replaced recently with very little wear from new. The disc brakes and pads are fresh, providing feedback through the pedal and immense stopping power.

This C4S comes with a comprehensive history folder. It has a full book of stamps for services and inspections, having been serviced less than 500 miles ago. The car has been meticulously looked after by its previous owners, all from the same family. The clutch and rear main oil seal were replaced just over 10,000 miles ago and the car has been regularly serviced since, regardless of cost. The air conditioning blows ice cold, as the condensers were replaced for this sale.
