The E30 BMW 3 series is a classic motoring icon from the 1980’s. Smooth 6 cylinder and 4 cylinder engines, rear wheel drive and sporty suspension ensured they were the car of choice for enthusiastic drivers. The sporty elegant exterior design and driver orientated cockpit have passed the test of time. In convertible form they are now a highly sought after modern classic.
Purchased from Bavarian Garages in Belfast, this car has been serviced regularly by two local owners. The second owner used the car as a holiday car in Spain for almost 20 years, as indicated by its excellent condition. It is a very rare example of a late 1992 325i facelift convertible, on the updated chassis (by this time they were almost all 318i). This car has been carefully prepared for sale by Bavarian Retro, along with a comprehensive exterior detail by Polished Pursuits.
The Brilliant Red paintwork on this car is in excellent condition. A recent detailing has restored the car’s finish to a very high standard. All lights and badges are in good condition with no signs of cracks or moisture. The unmistakable E30 convertible shape shows the car’s sporty intent and the bright red paintwork ensures the car looks great on the road and on your driveway. A brand new, genuine, OEM roof has been fitted for this sale.
The fashionable BMW Sport checked grey cloth is in good condition and fitting for the period. The seat material shows little sign of wear. All controls including the buttons, gear lever and steering wheel are in good condition and the dashboard is original & unmarked.
The car is fitted with 15” BBS factory alloys which fill the wheel arches well and add to the sporty look of the car. The wheels have been professionally refurbished and are complete with genuine original wheel caps. All the tyres are brand new and are matching Dunlop Sport all round.
Having been serviced regularly and driven politely, this 325i drives like a new car. The gearbox feedback is well weighted, the steering is communicative and the suspension is sporty whilst retaining comfort. The engine pulls strongly throughout the rev range. A delightful car to drive with the roof down.
This 325i comes with a complete history folder with main dealer stamps, specialist stamps, old mots and receipts. Having spent a lot of time in Spain the folder contains Spanish MOT and dealer service details. The Cambelt was changed in September 2013 at 87,000 miles. The car has recently been fully serviced and given a comprehensive check by Bavarian Retro who specialise in E30’s. The history file contains the original manuals and service booklets.
