The BMW Z3 series is a classic motoring icon from the mid 1990’s. A high profile introduction in the 1995 James Bond Film ‘Goldeneye’ generated one of BMW’s highest ever pre-launch orders and the car remains popular with enthusiasts. Based on the 3 series E36 platform, early models were designated E36/7 and featured E36 engines. Facelift models were designated E36/8 and included engines from the latest E46 3 series. Presented here is a last off the line facelift model with an E46 M54B30 3 litre engine, producing 231 bhp at 3900rpm. With new rear lights, wider axel, chromed headlights and several other new features the facelift versions are the highlight of the Z3 range. In 3.0i Sport guise, often referred to as M Sport, with a manual gearbox, they were produced in very small numbers, making them rare and sought after.
The Topaz Blue paintwork on this car is in excellent condition with no marks, scuffs or dents. A recent detailing has restored the cars finish to showroom condition. All lights and badges are in outstanding condition with no signs or cracks or moisture. The soft top is in great condition and the car has a wow factor on viewing, it is incredibly clean including all the exterior panels, engine bay and door sills.
This highly specified facelift 3.0i Sport spec comes with Sport seats, Seat Heating, Chameleon leather, M Sports suspension and Air Conditioning. Optional extras on this car include Upgraded deep dish 17” cross spoke style 42 alloys, Six CD changer and On Board Computer.
The Sport Beige interior is in first class condition. As a sport model Heated Sport seats are included in upgraded Chameleon leather, which is unmarked. The Brushed Matt Aluminium trim is exclusive to the Sport model. All controls and switches are in excellent condition. All mats and carpet are as new.
With a very low mileage and having been serviced regularly, this Z3 drives like a new car. The gearbox feedback is well weighted, the steering provides excellent feedback and the suspension is sporty, encouraging spirited driving. It has a factory fresh feel, due to the low mileage, highlighting the wonderful driving experience of BMW’s from this era. The car is fitted with 17” BMW Style 42 upgraded cross spoke alloys which have a deep dish look and fill the wider wheel arches of the six cylinder models. The wheels are in great condition and are complete with excellent condition wheel caps. The car has matching Brand New Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres all round and handles superbly.
This Z3 comes with a complete history folder and has a full service history including two inspections and seven services. The car has been fully serviced for this sale. The history file contains the original manuals and service booklets. The Subframe has been inspected and is sound.
